Owner of Barclay's Therapy
Areas of Treatment:
I focus on helping people with self-esteem, trauma, and anxiety. I also work with clients dealing with addiction, ADHD, anger, career issues, coping skills, depression, grief, and life changes. My experience includes supporting those with mood and personality disorders, racial identity, relationship problems, self-harm, stress, substance use, and suicidal thoughts.
We all find different ways to cope with pain in our lives. Sometimes, these coping methods can be harmful, like self-harm, substance use, or distracting ourselves to escape reality. If you feel stuck in patterns that aren't helping you anymore, I’m here to help you learn healthier ways to cope. Whether your struggles come from childhood trauma, mental health issues, or relationship problems, I want to support you in moving forward without feeling overwhelmed by the past and guide you toward a brighter future.
Having moved from South Korea and dealing with the struggles of feeling out of place helped me understand how tough life can be. This experience drives my passion for helping people not just get by, but truly grow and be themselves. I’m here to offer a supportive space where we can turn your challenges into opportunities for growth and self-discovery. Together, we’ll work on building your strength, confidence, and sense of purpose. I’m here to support you in living a more authentic and fulfilling life.
I believe no one should feel trapped in their own mind. My goal is to help you take control of your life, grow, and thrive. I can help you break through obstacles, turn self-doubt into confidence, and explore new possibilities. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Experience
I have experience working with pre-teens, teens, and adults on issues like self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. I use therapy methods such as CBT, DBT, and I’m trained in EMDR and Level 1 of the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. I’ve also worked in hospitals, rehab centers, intensive outpatient programs, and other specialized care settings.
